何翔恩（七年級//國一）2020.08.16

大家好，我是何翔恩。今天我要和大家分享我為什麼決定成為基督徒的故事。

我從小就出生在一個基督徒的家庭中。當我還是嬰孩時，我的父母就讓我受小兒洗，並且用耶穌的方式教導我、養育我使我成長。雖然每週日我都會去參加教會的主日學，老師們也都會說許多我喜歡的聖經故事，但當時的我卻從不明白這背後的意義，只覺得教會是一個我去玩樂與交朋友的地方。但即便如此，我的心中仍然始終相信上帝是真實存在的。

隨著漸漸的長大，我的想法不僅開始轉變，我也變得開始認真地看待我的信仰。記得有一次在學校，有人開耶穌的玩笑，甚至說成為一個基督徒是件可笑的事，當下的我便過去告訴他：「耶穌有多麼的偉大，且能成為一個基督徒是件多麼美好的事！」自此後，我也開始和許多人分享關於耶穌的故事，而我也不再把教會當成一個只有玩樂的地方，而是一個敬拜上帝且能夠更多認識神的地方！

上帝總是在我的生命中帶領我度過每個困難的時刻，有一次上帝幫助我去修復我與一個好朋友的關係，他叫Darren，他是基督徒也是我在學校裡最好的朋友。雖然我與他很要好，但我不知道他很容易生氣。在這段時間裡，我們在學校有很多次的爭吵，甚至當他生氣時，他不僅會說出負面的話，有時候還會有些肢體上的暴力。我們的爭吵越來越激烈，甚至老師也快被我們激怒了，但後來，我開始在每天早上向神禱告，我懇求上帝能幫助我們的關係變好。很神奇地，在那之後我們的關係真的開始變好，雖然他之後搬去了澳洲，但我們仍然是好朋友也持續的保持聯繫。

另一件上帝幫助我的事情是：祂幫助我在學校有一個青年團契。我一開始只是一個小組員，但在第一個學期過後，我們的團長因為一些個人因素離開了團契，因著團契沒有帶領者，校長便詢問我是否還會繼續參與團契且邀請我擔任團長，一開始我很猶豫，但後來我接受了校長的邀請，因為我看見這是一個可以服事上帝的美好機會！上帝很祝福團契，祂使許多新朋友加入我們，讓我們從一開始只有四個人，到現在我們有八個人了，甚至上帝還讓我在團契中有夥伴一起來建立團契。雖然這數字的變化聽起來不多，但它卻是我們團契原本人數的兩倍！我相信上帝與我們的團契同在，且祂也幫助我、給我力量去學習如何帶領團契。

上帝總是在我需要幫助的時候，透過我的禱告幫助我，我還有很多的上帝幫助我的見證，而在這之中，我感覺上帝一直都是我的好朋友，所以我想做一個美好的決定，就是「受洗成為基督徒，並且跟隨上帝！」哥林多後書5:17說到：「若有人在基督裡，他就是新造的人，舊事已過，都變成新的了。」而這個經文也代表了，當我們受洗後，我們在基督耶穌裡會有一個全新的生命！所以現在的我想要幫助更多的人去認識耶穌，也幫助他們能在耶穌裡展開他們的新生命！

My name is Kingsley Ho, today I am going to talk about how and why I chose to become a Christian.
It all started before I was even born. My father and mother are both Christians, therefore I was born in a Christian family. My parents had me baptized when I was a baby, they used Jesus’s way of teaching to raise me. I went to church every Sunday; but I didn’t know the meaning of it back then. I thought of church as just a place where I go and hang out with my friends. At church, I heard a lot of Bible stories and I liked them. I always participated when the teacher in Sunday school talked about the Bible stories. I always believed that God is real, even though I always treated the church as a place to have fun.

As I grew up my perspective started to change, I became more serious about my belief. I remember one time in school, somebody made fun of Jesus and joked about being a Christian is funny, I got over and lectured him about how awesome is Jesus and how great it is to be a Christian. Furthermore, I started to teach more people about Jesus, and I would not treat the church as a place to have fun and play; instead, I would treat it as a place to worship God and learn more about Jesus’s salvation.

Throughout my life, God has guided me through many of my life’s difficult times. There was one time that God helped me to amend my relationship with a friend of mine named Darren.

Darren is my best friend at school and he is also a Christian. I hang out with him a lot, but what I didn’t know is that he becomes angry easily. We had many fights during the times at school and when he became angry, he says negative things and sometimes he could get physical and violent. Our fight had been so big that the teachers were even irritated by us but eventually, I started to pray, every morning, I prayed to God, hoping he would make our relationship better. Miraculously, our relationship got better after a while and up until now, we are still friends, even though he moved to Australia, we still kept in contact.

Another thing that God helped me is with my youth group at school. I was originally just a member of the group but after the first semester, our youth group’s leader has some personal issues and had to leave our youth group. This means the youth group is left with no leader. The director of school asked me if I could continue our youth group and become the leader. At first, I hesitated, but I see this as a perfect opportunity to serve God, so I agreed.

God had made our youth group very successful, many new people joined us. We started with only four people, but now we have eight people and God also send me a helper to run the group together. It doesn’t sound much, but it is double the number of people we started with! I truly felt God is with our group and He gave me the strength to carry on with the leadership.God has always assisted me when I needed help through my prayers; there are many other testimonies on how God helped me and He has always been a good friend. I think I made a good decision to be baptized and follow God. The Bible said, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” This verse means, If we are baptized, we have a new life in Jesus Christ; and now I want to help other people to get to know Jesus and start a new life in Him.
